Little known fact: Jules Verne was young once.
Today is Jules Verne’s birthday. Widely regarded as one of the founders of modern science fiction (indeed, often called the Father of Science Fiction), Verne’s works explored many of the new technologies and scientific concepts produced during the 19th Century. Many of the fictional machines in his writing anticipated the factual development of technology in the 20th Century. Verne’s writing is still immensely popular today and he is one of the most translated authors in history.
